Daily Portion

You are the light, A blessing from above, You hold me close, An unbroken grasp. You move mountains, Even shake the depths, Sounds of thunder, Clouds break apart. Truth is freedom, Love forever flowing, Rain down on us, Creating clean hearts. Help me to stand, Without You I cannot, I lean on You, Mighty cornerstone. Be my portion, Until forevermore, Not just today, I need You daily.

My Psalm 5

Heavenly host, Father of the earth, The whole universe, What is my purpose? Feed me my gifts, That it may enter my body, Quench my thirst with purity, That it may wash over me. Leave behind a clean heart, Recapture my mind, Repurpose my very life, It belongs to You. Yet I fear You will leave me, Though in Your truth I know it isn’t so. What is my purpose? Without You in my life, It is similar to an empty grave, NO PURPOSE?! Lord, I give my whole self, Every part of my living body is Yours, Help me remain with both feet firm. I exist for You, I exist to serve You, Lead me on the path that You have set out, No matter how long, How painful. I am anxious, But I not scared, For You are with me now, You will be with me then, Forever and always. Hear Your servant's plea, Forgive me of my faults. This stupidity I carry around, I want to leave it, To push it off a cliff, Help me to choose You, Over this stupidity And finally, over anything unworthy. Amen.

The Candle (Burning Bright)

We were made to burn bright, But fall followed close, A wind swept over our light, A cold chill surrounded. I am Your candle, burning for new life. You reignite the soul, A flame burns again, Slowly we feel more whole, Yet some stay in the dark. I am your candle, burning endless love. Lord, let our light shine far, Glory in Your name, Make us like a shining star, In hope of making sparks. I am your candle, burning in the truth. Let Your aroma flow, A scent of comfort, And although the wax burns slow, Change never eludes You. I am your candle, burning in mercy. Over us, You take reign, Sins, flaws, melt away, As does all my past pain, You expose true beauty. I am your candle, burning desire. We are left bare, naked, Unashamed display, The reason we're created, To commune with You, God. I am your candle, burning to the end.

My Psalm 4

Your love is like that of no other, It is true, good and never ending, My eyes will not fall on another, You are my one true God that I praise. You know my heart will falter again, Although I detest my shortcomings, You never judge for mistakes back then, Or for trouble that still overtakes. Oh how I have always longed for You, The void that I felt inside since birth, So be my help, guide all I must do, I take shelter under Your great wings. Amen.

My Psalm 3

I feel so empty, The void, it grows, My heart can’t take it, Selfishness shrouds me. I am lost here now, Direction fails me, As do my desires, An empty vessel. Shape me to hold you, Your spirit fill me, You once resided, But I walked away. Worse than all heartache, When I’m surrounded, Loneliness follows, Life may as well end. But I ask, save me, Help me seek you Lord, Give love I once had, Along with self worth. Then on my deathbed, A hopeful return, I wholeheartedly, Want our unity. Amen.

My Psalm 2

Lord, I seek you in this desperate time, my spirit is beginning to weep. Failing to be wholehearted each day, I ask, give me purpose, all my life. Give constant belief that I’m enough, I’ll stand firm to remain with you. Come light, shine in this isolation, Fear not, a promise that lifts me. Truly I will fail, stay by me, For without You, God, I am nothing. You created all life with much love, Time changes all but You, so I ask. Grant me all that You desire, Lord, My life was purchased, costing Your Son. Father, redeem me as I reach out, Renew this severed relationship. Amen.

The Narrow Path

Your light shines through trees, It rises from dawn, It breaks through the clouds, Darkness creeps away. Like a broken tap, Love forever pours, I bring you this cup, Let it overflow. Let’s walk together, Almost hand in hand, Down the path you made, Out of wilderness. Let me come closer, Your presence is safe, A mighty shield, Immovable rock. I praise with these words, You inspire me, And teach me all things, Showing the true way.

Glory to the Father

Glory be to You my God, The Father of all good things, Heaven is filled with singing, Praise coming from every tongue. You are a sight to behold, Jesus, I fall on my knees, You opened my eyes to You, Leading me to cloudy gates. The light You bring, peace to all, Thank You for my eyes to see, Your voice, it guided me home, Where all things are made perfect. Father’s crafted Holy house, Prepared for my arrival, That I may dwell in the love, Spending my eternity.

Psalms 121: Interpretation.

In my darkest times, Blinded by putting myself first, The waves carry me away, A consequence of all my sin. I become lost from You, With no pathway for me to tread, Unable to see Your face, Darkness may as well take my soul. The present consumes, Lack of safety leaves me weakened, The moment swallows all truth, An attempt to cast lies on me. I remember rest, Looking to You my dear friend, Breathe, wait, for You will soon come, My Saviour, You will always be. I remember You, The one who gave me a new life, I focus in Your aura, Darkness can’t coexist with light. And then as I look up, Your glow breaks through all my despair, In the clouds, on the mountains, Is where my saving grace resides. My help arrives fast, Your perspective grants You vision, In a moment You end pain, Thank You, for who am I to You? You are my help, oh Lord, You would move the Heavens for me, Creator of all things good, Your  love has made me whole again.

My Psalm 1

Have mercy on me O’ Lord, Forgive me, my heinous sin, On day seven bring me rest, My heavy heart pulls me down. Hear my cry God of Heaven, Help me remain in Your light, Hide me from my enemies, I seek shelter, spread Your wings. Look into my heart Father, It always belongs to You, To that, nothing can compare, So wait for me, arms open. It gets darker still my Lord, But soon light shall chase shadows, Yet it’ll try to take hold, But your power has no match. One final cry out to You, I give all of my being, A sacrifice to Your will, Help me to live like Jesus. Commitment that’s eternal, Praising the only true king, Following all Your decrees, Blameless to all that will see. Hand out Your grace upon me, Strength, wisdom and discernment, I put all my trust in You, Pour grace down on Your servant. Break down the wall built for pride, Suffocate the rage inside, Praise forever on my lips, A beacon of Your glory. Unfailing love flow through me, Let peace go ahead, take me, That no fault will ...

Love is Blind

I grew up in lies, But there was one real truth, Love is blind. Truly I say, I was blind to your ways. I was born in dark, Birthed blind like a puppy, Eyes sewn shut. Sight eluded, So I lived my life lost. Unable to see, But still living in love, Saved by grace. My circumstance, Led to idols of earth. Crushing desires, I was formed through sinning, It was fate. Hit rock bottom, Then you opened my eyes. My sight returned, Light awakened senses, Such mercy. Hearing comes back, Now I hear You knocking. Oh, what a huge lie, That love binds us helpless, Life ensnared. Not noticing, What was in front of me. Now I know truth, It’s discovered in You, God with us. So love is blind, Born in disconnection. Now I return, I feel real love, For you God. I seek wisdom, I walk, faith in my step.

New Year

A new year, Promise of change, For what purpose, Why do I wait? When finding You, I pre-desired, Contemplating, A better life. A simple wish, Come sooner Lord, We’d be closer, Light around me. Yet even now, Taken constant, Oh, for granted, I seek chances. A gift given, So long ago, A sacrifice, Paid for my life. And I respond, Perverted grace, Walking myself, In total vain. Forever sin, Fully aware, Pay consequence, No real gain.

The Mission

A year has passed, So much has happened, Yet I remain here, Moving though static. Lord, awaken now, I fall to my knees, I declare my faith, Even in my doubt. Take hold of my heart, Strip my desires, Help me pursue Yours, Free from wilderness. I know my hunger, It will never cease, And nor will my thirst, All eternity. Give me aroma, Like Your breath of life, Use me loving God, To spread the good news.

The Lost

I pray for you, That you find the Lord, Your creator, Who stays close to you. An endless love, It already pours, Waiting for you, Seek out, embrace it. I once was lost, Now I weep with joy, God has so much, A whole plan for you. He will hold you, Provide all you need, Riches above, All ready for you. Impossible? That is just a lie, But God is truth, Ye of little faith. So come to Him, Open mind and heart, You will receive, All you really need. The storm will pass, The skies will open, Light breaking through, In its purest form. I pray again, That your eyes will see, Look around You, God is evident. You will learn much, Mercy, sacrifice, Giving gladly, Never holding back. May He bless you, Keep you close to Him, Your emptiness, He will fill the void. Amen.

Reborn

I come before You, gladly with praise, No thing I do will hide me from your gaze, You stay true and my old life I leave, You are the greatest gift I could receive. Thank you for giving me new insight, That my eyes are open, I see Your light. I look around, I now see Your grace, Transform me so I can finish this race. Search inside, delve deep into my heart, I give it to You, never let us part, A victory, each day You have won, Given salvation by Jesus, it’s done. Now my rock, I lean on, no stumble Help me to serve, I want to be humble. Renew me, redeem, let evil choke, Change is something only You can invoke. In Your presence there is no fear, So hear my words, You formed the ear. I am Your servant, truly no lie, Forever eternal, I will not die. Not sure why I’m so lucky, or how, I worship You now, at Your feet I bow. Lord, teach me all the right behaviour, I continue to spread news, our Saviour. I pick up my cross, doing as told, Let Your glory and perfect will unfold, Great things fo...

An Advent Poem

Hope comes through knowledge of Christ, from the birth of our saviour. Hope is in our God’s promise, His truth, Jesus will return. Hope is in a God who saves, in the body, Christ Jesus. Hope comes with His presence felt, Emmanuel - God with us. Hope is in manifesting, a visible guide for us. Hope is the encouragement, God showing up when we’re weak. Peace is in the faith we have, safe from the grasp of hatred. Peace comes within our closeness, the Word dwelling among us. Peace from true sacrifice, bypassing the need for power. Peace is proclaiming His name, healing from our brokenness. Peace comes through His supplement, satisfies hunger and thirst. Peace knows not of prejudice, the fountain of life He gives. Joy aims to help pain, saving the unanticipated. Joy does not promise safety, but comfort in His presence. Joy comes through proclamation, from goodness He gave to earth. Joy breaks from normal culture, kind, open and full of love. Joy is a place for us, inviting all to His table....
