Love is Blind

I grew up in lies,

But there was one real truth,

Love is blind.

Truly I say,

I was blind to your ways.

I was born in dark,

Birthed blind like a puppy,

Eyes sewn shut.

Sight eluded,

So I lived my life lost.

Unable to see,

But still living in love,

Saved by grace.

My circumstance,

Led to idols of earth.

Crushing desires,

I was formed through sinning,

It was fate.

Hit rock bottom,

Then you opened my eyes.

My sight returned,

Light awakened senses,

Such mercy.

Hearing comes back,

Now I hear You knocking.

Oh, what a huge lie,

That love binds us helpless,

Life ensnared.

Not noticing,

What was in front of me.

Now I know truth,

It’s discovered in You,

God with us.

So love is blind,

Born in disconnection.

Now I return,

I feel real love,

For you God.

I seek wisdom,

I walk, faith in my step.
