My Mountain

My God, seated upon the highest mountain,

A monument from the foundation you laid,

You are my rock, a towering fortress in the sky,

Where clouds engulf the earth.

I flee to you for safety,

A fortified position of strength,

Where only the wise will tread,

Your aura can be felt for miles.

Fleeting winds surround You,

My enemies dare not come near,

You bring a thunderous wrath,

An echoing shout rumbling through valleys.

Yet for me, Your summit calmly rains down blessings,

Life giving water springs growth around,

Soaking through for firm roots,

Flowing in my veins, up to my heart.

Come with me Lord,

Let’s take this love wherever we go,

Like the tabernacle set on Jerusalem,

You are the mountain in me.
