My Psalm 1

Have mercy on me O’ Lord,

Forgive me, my heinous sin,

On day seven bring me rest,

My heavy heart pulls me down.

Hear my cry God of Heaven,

Help me remain in Your light,

Hide me from my enemies,

I seek shelter, spread Your wings.

Look into my heart Father,

It always belongs to You,

To that, nothing can compare,

So wait for me, arms open.

It gets darker still my Lord,

But soon light shall chase shadows,

Yet it’ll try to take hold,

But your power has no match.

One final cry out to You,

I give all of my being,

A sacrifice to Your will,

Help me to live like Jesus.

Commitment that’s eternal,

Praising the only true king,

Following all Your decrees,

Blameless to all that will see.

Hand out Your grace upon me,

Strength, wisdom and discernment,

I put all my trust in You,

Pour grace down on Your servant.

Break down the wall built for pride,

Suffocate the rage inside,

Praise forever on my lips,

A beacon of Your glory.

Unfailing love flow through me,

Let peace go ahead, take me,

That no fault will hold me back,

I am a child of God.

Victory by sacrifice,

I claim my inheritance,

Gone are the ways of old life,

Help me to proclaim Your truth.

Oh, Holy Spirit conform,

Spreading love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

Gentleness and self-control.

Your riches will be given,

Your gaze never leaving me,

Abundance, traces of love,

Father, I’m treasured by You.

Now I plead my case, hear me,

I hunger and thirst for You,

Redeem, renew, I am lost,

Lead me home, while trumpets sound.

Judge me not for past mistakes,

Sometimes evil surrounds me,

In the haze I lack control,

Thankfully You grasp my hand.

Although never deserving,

The cost’s already settled,

You opened the kingdoms gates,

An entrance to Your embrace.

Once more I meet You on knees,

Bowing for all Your glory,

Riches laid out before me,

For the faithful, worth all life.

Amen.

My Mountain

My God, seated upon the highest mountain, A monument from the foundation you laid, You are my rock, a towering fortress in the sky, Where clouds engulf the earth. I flee to you for safety, A fortified position of strength, Where only the wise will tread, Your aura can be felt for miles. Fleeting winds surround You, My enemies dare not come near, You bring a thunderous wrath, An echoing shout rumbling through valleys. Yet for me, Your summit calmly rains down blessings, Life giving water springs growth around, Soaking through for firm roots, Flowing in my veins, up to my heart. Come with me Lord, Let’s take this love wherever we go, Like the tabernacle set on Jerusalem, You are  the mountain in me.

Bountiful God

Lord, Spring forth well water, Fill my cup with Your grace, Let it overflow, Always everlasting. Lift my great burden, Come let my shackles break, Freedom from my sin, By your great sacrifice. Now I see the truth, In Your fruitful meadows, The golden fields, A season of new life. You water the ground, You shine in the valley, You care for nature, And clothe me in splendor.
