My Psalm 3

I feel so empty,

The void, it grows,

My heart can’t take it,

Selfishness shrouds me.

I am lost here now,

Direction fails me,

As do my desires,

An empty vessel.

Shape me to hold you,

Your spirit fill me,

You once resided,

But I walked away.

Worse than all heartache,

When I’m surrounded,

Loneliness follows,

Life may as well end.

But I ask, save me,

Help me seek you Lord,

Give love I once had,

Along with self worth.

Then on my deathbed,

A hopeful return,

I wholeheartedly,

Want our unity.

Amen.
