Ceremony
My dear bride groom,
As You prepare our banquet,
I ask, take charge of my house,
Run it with Your grace.
I lovingly display,
These windows for Your judgement,
Let Your mercy shine through them,
That they may be cleansed.
I submit to Your light,
Renew my heart to softness,
Smooth over the sharp edges,
So it absorbs hate.
I am but a servant,
I take You, as my only God,
A declaration to hold,
from this day forward.
I am devoted to You,
for the better or the worse,
for richer or for poorer,
in sickness and health.
You have me to hold You,
To cherish You when I’m blessed,
To praise You in the valley,
Death cannot part us.
